I See Apples Printable Book Pages
I kept the apple reader very simple. The layout is very basic, the words are easy and repetitive, and the pictures are simple. The book consists of 4 pieces of papers. Each page folds in half vertically, which leads to 8 mini pages.
Frist, theres the front cover. It has the title I See Apples, along with space for a childs name.

Each page follows the titles pattern and focuses on the different colors apples can be. All apples are red, yellow, or green , so the first three pages consist of those colors.
The page I see a white apple focuses on what an apple looks like when its bitten or cut into. If youre able to, I highly recommend that you cut open an apple so the kids can really observe the inside.
The page I see a brown apple explores what happens when an apple is eaten down to the core and left out. Perfect for a mini lesson on oxidation if you want!
Please note that the free printable includes two copies of the book. The first is an updated version with crisper clip art. The second version is the original printable apple book I made for my preschoolers about a decade ago at this point!
The child in the picture above, coloring in the very first iteration of this book, is in high school now! I feel so old!

- Following this, there is a page for them to write a sentence using the sight word
- Lastly, there is a page for them to draw a picture that relates to the sentence they wrote, or they could practice writing the sight word in the box on this page

Push Toward Fluency With Advanced Phonics
The Advanced Phonics Series delves deeper into topics introduced in the Intermediate series. In the earlier series, most books cover one or two subjects. Some of the books in the Advanced series are similarly focused, but others cover a much wider breadth of material. Book 1, for example, focuses only on digraphs with the letter y, while Book 2 introduces syllables, the function t at the end of a word, and how to determine whether a vowel is long or short. Throughout the 8-book series, children learn more about digraphs, trigraphs , advanced long vowels, irregular words, multi-syllable words, contractions, plurals, simple punctuation, and exceptions to standard phonetic rules.
How To Assemble The Interactive Books

When you print the book, you will see that you need to do just a little bit of cutting. Each book contains a cover page and three additional pages. The cover and two of the pages need to be cut so that they are not as wide as the last page. Dont worry, there are dotted lines to help you out with the cutting. Each book also includes three beginning letter cards that need to be cut out too.
You may want to laminate everything so that your book will be more durable. Place all the pages in order and bind them together on the left side. You can use a binding machine..but if you dont have one staples will work well too.
Add hook and loop tape to the three squares on the back page and to the squares on each individual page. Finally, add hook and loop tape to the back of the letter cards. Kids should be able to attach the letter cards to the squares.

What Can Preschoolers Learn Beyond The Alphabet Song
TEACHING LETTERS TO preschoolers
PRESCHOOL AND KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS NEED LOTS OF REPETITION WHEN LEARNING THE LETTERS. MANY CHILDREN REQUIRE A WHOLE LOT MORE THAN A SET OF FLASHCARDS OR SOME COLORING PAGES.
Preschool teachers can use a variety of alphabet books for preschoolers, printable activities, letter matching activities, magnetic letters, and more to expose students to letters in lots of different ways.
Here are some helpful tips for young learners:
- Break up the alphabet. When students can accurately name sets of five to ten letters, introduce a few more.
- Instill writing habits early by talking about the lines used to form the letters, where they start, and whether they are straight, diagonal, or curved.
- Talk about the idea that letters have names and sounds. When students know all of the letter names, begin to introduce the sounds.
- Start letter identification with what they know, like their name!
- Be patient! This is a whole new language for young children. They will learn with plenty of repetition, games, activities and varied free alphabet printables for preschool.
